Christ In Us

The Healing Power For Today

When Jesus walked the earth, He revealed the perfect heart of the Father—a heart that healed, restored, forgave, and set people free. Acts 10:38 tells us that God anointed Jesus with the Holy Spirit and power, and wherever He went, the works of the devil were destroyed. Sickness fled, demons trembled, the broken were mended, and hope came alive.
Acts 10:38 and Colossians 1:27.
“Christ Healing Through Us — The Same Yesterday, Today, and Forever”
Scripture Foundation:
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” — Acts 10:38
“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” — Colossians 1:27
That same Spirit—the very presence and power of God—has not diminished. The same Holy Spirit who anointed Jesus to heal now abides in every believer who has been born again through faith in Christ. The mystery that Paul declared to the Colossians is no mere doctrine; it is divine reality: “Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
The Continuation of Christ’s Ministry
Jesus never intended His ministry to end with His ascension. He intended it to continue through His body—the Church.
When He said, “As the Father has sent Me, I also send you” (John 20:21)
He was commissioning every believer to carry the same anointing, the same compassion, and the same authority that He Himself walked in.
Healing was not a side feature of His ministry; it was the visible expression of God’s kingdom breaking into a fallen world. And that same kingdom still advances today wherever Jesus reigns in the hearts of His people.
The early Church understood this. They laid hands on the sick, spoke with boldness, and saw miracles, signs, and wonders—not because they were apostles of a bygone era, but because the same Jesus was living and working through them.
Christ in Us—The Hope and Power for Today
When the Holy Spirit took up residence within us, heaven itself made a home inside human hearts. Christ now lives His life through us—healing, forgiving, and restoring through yielded vessels who walk by faith.
The authority of Christ is not something we strive to earn; it’s something we carry because of who lives inside of us. When we lay hands on the sick, pray for the broken, and speak words of life, it’s not our power—it’s His.
Jesus said, “The works that I do shall you do also, and greater works than these shall you do, because I go to the Father.” (John 14:12)
He went to the Father so that the Spirit could come, filling His people with the very presence of God, that the Father’s will might continue to be carried out on earth just as it was in the days of Jesus.
The Father’s Will—Then and Now
The will of the Father has never changed. He is still the Healer, the Restorer, the Deliverer, and the God who mends broken hearts. Jesus perfectly revealed the Father’s nature, and now that same nature works through us.
When we pray for the sick, speak peace into chaos, or extend forgiveness to the wounded, we are not performing religious acts—we are allowing the Father’s heart to move through His children.
This generation, perhaps more than any other, needs to see the living Christ manifested through His people. The world is desperate for authentic demonstrations of God’s love and power—not words alone, but power in the Holy Spirit.
“And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit. I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.” (1Corinthians 2:4–5)
The Call to Believe Again
Many in the Church today believe Christ could heal, or once did heal—but struggle to believe He still does heal through us. Yet Scripture is clear:
“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8)
If He is the same, then His will and His power remain unchanged. The question is not whether He still heals, but whether we still believe.
The Lord is calling His Church to rise in faith, to step into that divine partnership where heaven touches earth through surrendered lives. We are not spectators—we are participants in His redemptive work.
A Prayer of Surrender and Power
Lord Jesus, thank You that You are still the Healer. Thank You that Your Spirit lives in me—the same Spirit that raised You from the dead. I surrender my hands, my voice, and my heart to You today. Use me as a vessel of Your love and power. Let Your compassion flow through me to the broken, the sick, and the oppressed. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven—through Christ in me, the hope of glory. Amen.
Reflection
● Do I truly believe that Christ still heals through His people today?
● What might change if I lived daily with the awareness that “Christ in me” is the power of God at work?
● Who in my life needs to encounter the love and healing of Jesus through me this week?
Evangelistic Invitation
If you have never experienced this living Jesus for yourself, He is not far away. The same Savior who walked the dusty roads of Galilee still walks into human hearts today. He does not come to condemn, but to heal—to lift the weight of sin and bring new life.
Right now, you can open your heart and say:
“Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God. I believe You died and rose again for me. Come live in me. Heal my heart, forgive my sins, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I want to know You—not just as a story, but as my Savior and Lord.”
If you prayed those words, you have just invited the Healer to dwell within you—the very same Christ who healed in Acts 10:38 now lives in you. Welcome to the family of God.
Discipleship Challenge
For those who already believe, the challenge is clear:
Let us not only carry the name of Jesus but demonstrate His nature. The world does not need another powerless Christianity—it needs living proof of a risen Christ.
Ask the Lord daily, “Father, show me where You want to reveal Your love and power today.”
Lay hands on the sick. Speak life where there is death. Offer prayer where there is pain. Step out of comfort and into compassion.
You are not alone—the same Spirit that empowered Jesus now empowers you. As you go, remember His promise:
“These signs will follow those who believe… they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” (Mark 16:17–18)
Now is the time to believe again.
Now is the time to let Christ in you become the hope of glory—for the world around you.
Amen Amen
