Servant Leadership Training is a live video online training and hands-on training school where the equipping process can be worked out in those feeling called to help the suffering, homeless, and addicted. It involves a one-year commitment for the sole purpose of allowing God to develop purpose in a future leader's life. Quality leadership does not come easily. It requires time, dedication, study of the word, character building, and maturity which comes from a structured process that provides experience. Mature servant leadership flows from mature character that is most often formed in the graduate school of life. This does not come through gifting alone, because a leader whose skills outweigh his character formation will eventually falter. A mature, successful ministry flows from one who has ministry skills, relational skills, and godly character that has been tempered, developed, and ripened by God's thorough development. Character formation is fundamental so that a person's ministry may flow out of being, not performance, or gifting. The Servant Leadership Training focuses on all of these important areas of development, especially character formation. It is a safe environment where unseasoned leaders can be a part of hands-on ministry. We believe in a hands-on approach to ministry that is learned through internship and mentoring under seasoned leaders. This program is of no cost to those who feel led to answer the call to help those who are suffering from life-controlling issues.

 

Servant Leadership Training (SLT) is a 3-year training that is broken down into 1-year commitments. It starts with a 10-week commitment to see if one is "called" to this type of servanthood ministry.  The three main areas of Christian development are character formation, relational formation, and ministry training.  SLT is for those seeking to develop the call to ministry from our Lord Jesus Christ. After completing 1 year, a Christian Worker’s Certificate is earned, after completion of the 2nd-year, a Commissioned Minister Certification is earned, after 3rd years of completion a License Minister Certificate, and lastly, after four years of ministry service, an Ordained Minister License is issued.  Breaking Free Inc. also will transfer other ministerial credentials where appropriate training has already been obtained and developed. Some of the hands-on training includes street evangelism, formal teaching, working with those in different types of addictions, working with mental health, deliverance ministry, discipleship of new believers, counseling the hurting, serving the hungry and homeless, serving at Breaking Costa Rica I, in Los Angeles de Sabalito, Costa Rica,  serving at Breaking Free Costa Rica II, in Langostino, Puntarenas, Costa Rica, and most of all developing the disciplines of prayer and the study of Gods Word. Servant Leadership training is for those who want to develop ministry disciplines in a 24/7 approach to Church life.  BF finds this is best accomplished outside the walls of formal church gatherings and is the mission of Breaking Free “A Church Without Walls”!​
