Breaking Free Inc. was started by founder Dr. Glenn Scott Mormon as Breaking Free Ministry in the beginning of 1992 and became Breaking Free Incorporated in the year 2000. We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization since 2002. BFI doesn’t charge for any of its services thanks to our extended ministry partners and great community of supporters. BFI has seven different ministry departments which include. One is our Community Care Services which provides food, goods, medicine etc. for children and single parents homes in extreme need. Two is our outreach ministry that targets children and youth in our community in high-risk situations. This is accomplished by community events, afterschool programs, and induvial care support, counselling, and family counseling. Three is Jungle/Street Church 100 “a church without walls. JSC brings church and provides food and resources to those who are homeless, mental health and those who find themselves in extreme need situations. We are on the streets daily caring for those in such need and bringing to them the message of Jesus Christ. Four is our 30-, 60-, 90- or 10-month drug and alcohol regeneration program. This program serves both genders and centers around youth and young adults. We have a separate program for the older ages. Five Incarceration program is for those who are on probation or facing incarceration because poor choices and need mentoring and guidance on how to make a lifestyle change. IC also works with the courts, probation department, or parole department, if necessary, in this life-style change process. Six Internship Ministry Training program is for those feeling called to work locally or abroad with those who are hurting, hungry and in negative life controlling situations. Seven Costa Rica I (Mountain) and Costa Rica II (Ocean) CRM is a foreign mission work that monthly feeds approximately 200 children and mothers. We also provide goods, medicines and the needed supplies in two of the more extremely poor areas of Costa Rica.
